Role Overview

The Sales Director plays a critical role in leading Axxess Networks’ next phase of growth by driving revenue performance across direct and channel sales motions. This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on execution, and a focus on scaling sales excellence through the MEDDPICC framework: ensuring predictable forecasting, disciplined pipeline management, and consistent deal progression. You’ll coach, mentor, and inspire a team of high-performing Account Executives, Channel Managers, and SDRs, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement. This is a player-coach position for an experienced SaaS or telecom sales leader who thrives on developing people, optimizing systems, and executing with precision.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead Axxess’s mid-market and enterprise sales strategy across both direct and channel routes to market.
  • Build, coach, and scale a high-performing sales organization including SDRs, and Solutions Executives.
  • Implement and reinforce the MEDDPICC qualification methodology to ensure accurate forecasting, deal progression, and pipeline visibility.
  • Develop and execute regional go-to-market plans to achieve and exceed growth targets.
  • Actively participate in key customer meetings, negotiations, and strategic opportunities.

Team Development & Performance

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop sales talent with a focus on leadership readiness and succession.
  • Build a team culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Coach sales reps on discovery, MEDDPICC discipline, objection handling, and closing techniques.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement through regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and coaching sessions.

Execution & Forecasting

  • Own forecasting accuracy, sales reporting, and KPI tracking using CRM and analytics tools.
  • Partner with marketing and operations to optimize lead flow, campaign execution, and funnel efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product and finance to refine pricing models, solution positioning, and competitive strategy.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvement, enablement, and market expansion.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Align sales operations, enablement, and channel strategy under unified goals.
  • Partner with marketing to refine vertical-specific campaigns and partner enablement programs.
  • Drive collaboration with product and engineering to ensure customer feedback informs roadmap development.

Customer & Market Focus

  • Represent Axxess as a senior leader in key customer relationships and strategic accounts.
  • Stay informed of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies within UCaaS/CCaaS.
  • Champion Axxess’s differentiators: reliability, live failover, 24/7 U.S.-based support, and transparent pricing.

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years in B2B SaaS, or telecom sales leadership.
  • Proven success leading teams selling UCaaS, CCaaS, or cloud communication solutions.
  • Strong experience coaching teams in MEDDPICC or similar structured sales methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale recurring revenue in high-growth environments ($10M+ ARR).
  • Expertise managing hybrid (direct and channel) GTM strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with a track record of developing top performers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, manage forecasts, and drive accountability.
  • Working knowledge of CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot) and sales enablement platforms.
  • Ability to travel as required to support customers and team members across the Northeast and U.S.
